Acrotomophilia - Acrotomophilia Symptom, Cause, Treatment
Apotemnophilia is the medical term for an individual with the sexual fetish or paraphilia of being an amputee. Acrotomophilia is also known as amelotatism. There are two subtypes of this fetish. Acrotomophilia is an intense desire for one's partner to be an amputee. Acrotomophiles are also known as "devotees." Apotemnophilia is an intense desire to be an amputee. Aptemnophiles are also known as "wannabes." Pretenders are non disabled people who act as if they have a disability by using assistive devices such as braces, crutches, and wheelchairs.
Symptoms of Acrotomophilia
It is a paraphilic condition in which sexuoerotic arousal and gratification are achieved by sharing. When the partner is rented, Acrotomophilia is a paraphilia of the mercantile or venal type. An individual with true apotemnophilia may be chronically unsatisfied with their sexual relationships, or even completely sexually disfunctional until their desire for amputation is realized. Coprophilia and urophilia refer respectively to sexual excitement deriving from contact with feces and urine.
Apotemnophilia condition is similar to Acrotomophilia but is differentiated by the desire for oneself to be an amputee as oposed to one's partner having an amputation. Acrotomophilia is no understanding of the origin of the attractions, desires and behaviours of wannabes, devotees, and pretenders. Elliot (2000) more recently described a phenomenon where people had been refused voluntary amputations of healthy limbs and subsequently performed amputations on themselves.
Causes of Acrotomophilia
That's being sexually aroused by an amputee, either in thoughts or actual deeds. Someone who has this fetish may even ask their partner to wrap one of their limbs in a bandage to fulfill their fantasy. A sexual attraction is toward amputees. some people like amputees so much, they photoshop pictures of women to make them appear amputated. At first the child may seek out friends with prostheses but as they grew older, they can become completely preoccupied with the idea of amputation.
